Utilities and Energy Coordination Network Building a Skilled Energy Workforce Together
From 2020 until June 30, 2024, Â鶹ŮÀÉ led the Utilities and Energy Coordination Network (UECN), funded by an NSF-Advanced Technology Education grant. Realizing the need for skilled energy industry technicians, Â鶹ŮÀÉ’s goal was to connect representatives from educational institutions, businesses, and energy industry groups to share resources and to create partnerships to expand training opportunities across the country.
Even though the grant has ended, Â鶹ŮÀÉ will continue to be a resource for those who would like to start or expand their training programs. Visit for program information including curriculum, student schedules, and program related survey results that were conducted to determine if curriculum met industry standards.
If you have questions on the information or if you are interested in starting your own energy programs, contact Trades@Â鶹ŮÀÉ.edu.
Yearly evaluation reports were submitted to the NSF by an independent reporting company. Read about grant successes and The Rucks Group's recommendations.
