10-524-146 PTA MANAGEMENT OF CARDIOPULMONARY & INTEGUMENTARY CONDITIONS...integrates concepts of cardiopulmonary and integumentary pathologies, physical therapy interventions, and data collection in patient treatment. What will I learn?

  1. Identify function and location of structures in normal cardiopulmonary system
  2. Identify function and location of structures in normal cardiovascular and pulmonary systems
  3. Identify etiology, signs and symptoms and usual course of pulmonary disorders
  4. Identify etiology, signs and symptoms and usual course of cardiac disorders
  5. Identify etiology, signs and symptoms and usual course of peripheral vascular disease
  6. Identify physiologic response in patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction
  7. Perform physical therapy interventions for patients with cardiac impairments
  8. Perform physical therapy interventions for patients with pulmonary impairments
  9. Examine physical therapy interventions for wound management
  10. Perform physical therapy interventions for the person with an amputation
  11. Educate in the care and use of prosthetic devices
  12. Assess ventilation, respiration and circulation
  13. Analyze patient response to physical therapy interventions for cardiovascular, pulmonary, lymphatic, and integumentary disorders
  14. Analyze patient response to physical therapy interventions for cardiopulmonary and integumentary disorders
  15. Conduct data collection for patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, lymphatic, and integumentary disorders
  16. Identify the structure and function of the peripheral vascular system
  17. Identify etiology, signs and symptoms and usual course of lymphatic disorders
  18. Perform physical therapy interventions for patients with lymphatic disorders
  19. Perform physical therapy interventions for patients with peripheral vascular disease
